Thekua

This sacred Bihari snack is more than just food… Thekua (also known as Khajuria or Thikari) is a deep-fried, unleavened whole-wheat biscuit, sweetened with either jaggery (gur) or sugar. Its history is deeply intertwined with Bihar’s most important festival, Chhath Puja.
